New Years Eve Moon

I know this is late for this post but I decided to go ahead and put it out there anyway. This is a Waxing Crescent Moon from New Year's Eve and the bright dot in the lower left corner is Venus.

Haw Creek and Pack Rat Falls

Today my brother David and my nephew Jonathan drove to the Haw Creek Campground in Johnson County off of Hwy 123 between Pelsor and Lamar Arkansas. We went here to photograph 2 waterfalls. Haw Creek Falls is located on Haw Creek. It's only 6' tall but the scenery there is incredible. Pack Rat Falls requires a boulder hopping hike upstream in a nearby feeder creek to reach. The boulders can be very very slippery and make for quite an adventure along the way. This falls is 24' tall and again the scenery was absolutely beautiful.
